Third Generation Wireless Communications, Volume 1: Post Shannon Signal Architectures
Published in Hardcover by Artech House (01 January, 2003)
Author: George Calhoun
Average review score:

All you ever wanted to know about wireless
Great book.

Is not intimidating with formulas and equations but gives you overview of the technology.

Gives good grasp of where it's heading

And no Shanon is still valid rather he is pointing out ways in which Shanon limits can be side stepped by moving around either in frequency or space or time

Also gives indictaion why rake recivers are so powerful.

This book will show you the overall technology, trend and implications. But if you want to learn how to design a 6 fingered rake reciever this is not it.

Three for the Road (Harlequin Superromance, No 660)
Published in Paperback by Harlequin (September, 1995)
Author: Shannon Waverly
Average review score:

My favorite harliquin Ive read a super romance indeed.
Three for the road is about a young girl forced to leave home in her RV. She's pregant and doesn't want to marry the father of the child because she's not in love with him and vice versa. So the books plot thicken when she unexpectantly meets a guy in a biker bar. The story then builds on several mistakes she makes. She loses her wallet and money so this handsome strange she met is forced to help her out. The story goes on to tell about there adventure to florida, where she as set out to live. The story was really good. I never was bored. It just kept getting better. I liked this book a lot. I thought it was a fresh new story line which I found to never be boring or dull. The story had a really good pace. You laugh and cry as you get to know these characters. I liked this book so much I was sad to finish it. Sharon Waverly was a great author. Ive never read any of her books before but hope to in the future. So read this book if you like sweet stories that have action, love and drama in them.

A Dinoriffic book!
This is a great book about early Alaska. It tells you that once it had a warmer climate, but it moved over time and got colder. Dinosaurs were really strange in Alaska, in this book, it explains dinosaurs all (almost) went to the same place to die in the Ice Age! You will learn more intresting facts if you read this cool book!

Tons of Money
Published in Hardcover by Lost Coast Press (October, 2000)
Author: Clark Shannon
Average review score:

A riveting, roller-coaster of a novel
In their ambition to get rich quickly, Shane O'Connor and Richard Stearns smuggle gigantic loads of cocaine into the U.S. where they sell the stuff for more money that they could ever hope to make as up-and-comers in Boston's elite world of bankers, lawyers, and computer manufacturers. But Shane and Richard discover that the allure of wealth, power, and prestige also attract rapacity, deceit, and murder. Tons Of Money is a riveting, roller-coaster of a novel showcasing the down side to an "anything for a buck" philosophy and the dark side of sudden money and greed that are the underpinnings of cocaine trafficking.

Too Much Coffee Man's Amusing Musings
Published in Paperback by Dark Horse Comics (07 December, 2001)
Authors: Shannon Wheeler and Tom Tomorrow
Average review score:

the world explained by coffee and cigarettes
This is a book. It's deep, it's funny, and it laughs at almost everything that most people take seriously. When TMCM explains to his friends how we live in a society that tolerates violence more than nudity, they reply, "I'd rather get hit in the head than see you naked." Many people would agree with this, but wouldn't dare admit it, in case someone accused them of being politically incorrect or some other daft notion. And speaking of daft notions, the whole "missile defense shield" concept is put under the microscope and shown for the silliness it truly represents. But, as the astronaut who is welding it together tells TMCM, at least he'll make a lot of money building it.
The point of all this: Amusing Musings is a solid literary achievement that mixes social commentary with existential philosophy and creates something that is just as funny as real life, but more interesting. This book belongs on the table of anyone who finds parties to be boring as hell and knows that if God knows everything, he can't have faith in anything, and therefore is an atheist. Those who take this kind of stuff seriously would be well advised to stay far away from this book, and go buy something written by Maya Angelou instead.

Too Much Coffee Man: Parade of Tirade
Published in Paperback by Dark Horse Comics (10 January, 2000)
Authors: Shannon Wheeler, Will Eisner, and Henry Rollins
Average review score:

Maybe bitter, but good to the last drop
Parade of Tirade is about failed relationships, depression, and lonliness far more often than it's about the superhero genre. It might not be for everyone. The thing that really caught my attention about this one, though, is that Wheeler switches between the world of Too Much Coffee Man, and the equally bleak "real world." The "real world" part of the comics focus on an overworked cartoonist who creates TMCM, and a Generation X fan, Joel, whose life is steadily going downhill.

True Lies
Published in Paperback by HarperTrophy (August, 1998)
Authors: George Shannon and John O'Brien
Average review score:

Wonderful teaching tool.
I started reading some of these tales to my 5th grade students as a way to get their attention at the end of the school day. To my amazement, they loved them and kept asking for more. They were so inspired, that they've even come up with some tales of their own and I've had to look for more folktale books.

A Trusting Heart
Published in Paperback by Bonneville Books (August, 2002)
Author: Shannon Guymon
Average review score:

What a great novel!
This is a wonderful book about how quickly our lives can change from the mundane to fulfulling our dreams. It shows how being true and honest to yourself can be the most rewarding even when others want us to be something different. This is a great romantic novel without the unromantic immorality many of today's novels contain.
